Brad has several years of experience in Human Resources Management, civil litigation and the practice of Employment and Labor law. His extensive knowledge of employment law makes him an invaluable addition to our firm and your legal team. Brad earned his law degree from Capital University Law School graduating cum laude and received his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ohio University.
PRACTICE AREAS
Labor and Employment Law
Advising clients on all issues relating to labor and employment law, and local government law, including Discrimination and Harassment, FMLA, ADA and FLSA.
Representation of employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including all facets of contract negotiations, mediation, conflict resolution procedures, arbitration, and the daily administration of internal policies, state and federal laws, and collective bargaining agreements.
Representation of employers before various administrative agencies, including the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, State Employment Relations Board, and State Personnel Board of Review.
Conducts management/employee training and risk management services including audits of internal human resources functions and processes, including FLSA compliance.
Drafting and Development of employee handbooks, manuals, training programs, as well as policy development and implementation.
Drafting of municipal civil service rules and counseling on compliance with both municipal civil service rules and Ohio civil service laws.
Civil Litigation
Representation of clients in all facets of civil litigation in all Federal and State trial and appellate courts in Ohio.
Representation in appeals of administrative agency and arbitration determinations.
Business Planning and Formation
Counseling and representation of businesses regarding choice of entity including formation of sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations and drafting of partnership and operating agreements.
Instruction
Instruction in numerous seminars on various topics including human resources management, FLSA, unlawful discrimination and harassment, civil rights, ADEA, FMLA, ADA and civil service law.
Brad is also an adjunct instructor at Keller Graduate School and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he lectures on numerous topics including Employment Law, Human Resource Management and Labor Relations.
