Downes Fishel's municipal representation includes serving as Assistant Law Director, Special Counsel, and Mayor's Court Prosecutor on matters ranging from zoning development and enforcement, to representation in state and federal court on takings issues, to Constitutional attacks as to the legitimacy of development decisions and master plan development and implementation.
The Firm represents all municipal officials and departments including administration, planning and zoning, parks, fire, police and others. In addition handling litigation and insurance matters for municipalities, our Firm provides proactive legal counseling on matters such as labor and employment, routine land use zoning development issues, development of strategic planning, Charter and Master Plan review and revision, and drafting city tax codes and rules.
